The Truth About Your Tendonitis

You've probably been told you have "tendonitis" and that you just need to rest and ice it. But if you're here, it's because that didn't work.

Here's why: "Tendon-itis" implies the problem is just inflammation. For chronic tendon pain, the real problem is Tendinopathy a breakdown and degeneration of the tendon itself due to overuse.

Rest fails because it doesn't strengthen the degenerated tendon. The moment you return to your activity, the weak tendon gets overloaded and the pain comes right back. Our Rehabilitation center is built to fix this.

Our 4-Step Rehab Plan for Tendinopathy

Our tendinopathy treatment is a 4-step process designed to calm the pain, then rebuild the tendon.

The Rehab Assessment & Pain Control

We perform a full functional and orthopedic exam with our Rehab Therapist. We then use advanced, non-invasive therapies to "calm down" the acute pain:

  • Medical Acupuncture to reduce pain signals and promote local healing.

  • Dolphin Neurostim Therapy to calm the over-protective nerves.

Advanced Manual Therapy

Your Rehab Therapist will use hands-on techniques to release the chronic tension in the muscles that attach to the tendon:

  • Graston Technique or Modern Cupping to break down scar tissue and adhesions in the muscle belly.

  • RAPID Neurofascial Reset to address any related nerve entrapments (common in tennis elbow).

Progressive Loading (The "Fix")

This is the most important step. To heal, a tendon must be loaded correctly. Your therapist will design a specific eccentric loading program. This builds strength and stimulates the tendon to repair itself. This is the real, evidence-based tendonitis treatment.

Prevention & Biomechanics

We give you the power to stay pain-free. We'll analyze and correct the movement (e.g., your tennis swing, your running gait, your typing setup) that caused the repetitive strain injury in the first place.
